THE SHORTCUT TO A TASTE OF THE PENINSULA

A real taste of our region is at Merricks General Wine Store (MGWStore). We are three vignerons with deep ties to the Mornington Peninsula. Elgee Park, the Peninsula's first vineyard est. 1972, Baillieu Vineyard with its exuberant flavour and country charm and a view to the future with Kathleen Quealy's ultra modern wines.

The three vineyards behind Merricks General Wine Store, invite you to a special "Lunch with the Locals" on Sunday 14th March 2010 as part of the infamous Melbourne Food and Wine Festival.The lunch will be a combination of food grown, collected, fermented, reared and caught on the Peninsula, including saffron, wild berries, Main Ridge Dairy and Bulldog Run Beef. Local produce will be matched with the finest estate grown wines from Baillieu Vineyard, Elgee Park and Quealy, all adding to the communal merriment of this localised event.
