Merricks General Wine Store is the cellar door headquarters for Charlie and Samantha Baillieu’s, Baillieu Vineyard, vineyard pioneer Baillieu "Bails" Myer and family’s Elgee Park and local winemaker and personality Kathleen Quealy, all with deep peninsula ties, all committed to their individual vineyard destinies, showcasing all of their wines at this one friendly cellar door bar. At the Cellar Door Bar you can comprehensively taste the entire range. An elegant execution of Peninsula classics – with Elgee Park Pinot Noir and Chardonnay as well as their very fine and cool Viognier (one of the first Viognier’s in Australia), Sparkling wines and the Peninsula's first born Cabernet Merlot.

With warm, dark soils and a north facing slope, Baillieu Vineyard wines are a joyful expression of their outstanding Peninsula site. The range includes a Rosé, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir and Shiraz. The Baillieu Vineyard style is brimming with vibrant flavour, naturally attained with the warmth of their site, and all the right work in their vineyard and winemaking technique.

Kathleen Quealy is the winemaker behind her own new venture. Her wines are exclusively from the Mornington Peninsula and are made at her property Balnarring Vineyard. Quealy's fresh approach to what her region does best is creating stylish and futuristic wines based on new varieties, blends and approaches. They are beautiful modern wines, fresh & cool emulating the maritime region where they are grown.

The community of the three vineyards working both together and independently in winemaking and viticulture has a joint face at Merricks General Wine Store.
