VINTAGE

2016 was an unusually dry growing season, but daily temperatures were fairly mild. These conditions resulted in the earliest harvest we have ever had, but the intensely perfumed and balanced grapes have made some lovely and very approachable, balanced wines.

WINEMAKING

The warmth & sunshine of this exclusive site produces pinot noir of exceptional quality. Hand harvested on 10th March. The fruit was destemmed, and commenced fermentation naturally after four days’ cool maceration. A further two weeks was spent on skins prior to pressing to barrel for malolactic fermentation and maturation. The wine was racked once in Spring and bottled on 11th January, 2017.
