VINTAGE

2017 was an unusually dry growing season, but daily temperatures were fairly mild. These conditions resulted in the earliest harvest we have ever had. The berries show intense perfume and great flavour which has produced exceptional balanced wines.

WINEMAKING

The hand-harvested fruit was whole bunch pressed very gradually over about 5 hours to extract a beautiful pale red juice with low tannin. It was settled overnight, and the clear juice was fermented cool in stainless steel tank to dryness. Bottled in late June, 2017.
