Elgee Park Family Reserve Late Harvest Viognier
2015 was a mild growing season, finishing with a relatively cool, but dry summer: Ideal for ripening the grapes on the old viognier vines. Light straw in colour with delicate aromas of apricots, pears & orange blossom, marry with the sweet florals of this late harvest viognier. It explodes on the middle palate with musk and stone fruit. Spicy characteristics with some acidity come into play on the refreshing elegant finish: Yum!

Intensely fragrant with apricots, pears & orange blossom
Gently sweet, at around 35g/L of residual sugar, exploding on the middle palate with musk & stone fruit flavours, spicy characteristics with some acidity balancing the refreshing finish.
2015 was a mild growing season, dry & cool with an excellent sunny & warm January, February & March, ideal for ripening the grapes on the old viognier vines for a late harvest style.
Harvested at around 300g/L sugar, and pressed to stainless steel tank for a cool, long fermentation which was stopped when the balance of alcohol and residual sugar seemed ideal.
The wine was then matured in old barriques to develop the heady aromatic characteristics typical of off-dry viognier.
