Made in a full- bodied, rich style; Once picked it develops ripe pear and almond flavours. Fermented in old barrels with some lees stirring complements the richness of the fruit. Poached pear and almond predominate, folding into the delicate palate.

Ripe pear and almond predominate, folding into the delicate palate. A beautifully balanced wine with maximum fruit weight, it’s complex & layered on the crisp dry finish.
2016 was an unusually dry growing season, but daily temperatures were fairly mild. These conditions resulted in the earliest harvest we have ever had. The berries show intense perfume and great flavour which has produced exceptional balanced wines.
Whole bunch pressed directly to old French oak barrels for fermentation and matured on lees in barrel with occasional stirring for greater textural complexity. It was racked, stabilised and prepared for bottling in late June.
