This cool climate chardonnay shows aromas of citrus and white peaches with subdued nutty oak characters. The silky smooth palate mellows into lemon & cream. The balanced acidity is refreshing with an elegant finish.

2017 was marked by a very wet and cold flowering period resulting in tiny crops. The harvest itself was relatively late compared to preceding vintages, so picking was during the very mild and sunny autumn. The berries show intense perfume and great flavour which has produced exceptional balanced wines.
Harvested on 23rd March and whole bunch pressed to retain delicacy and freshness, then settled in tank to clarify. The juice was transferred to French oak barriques (20% of which were new) for ferment and maturation, with around 20% of the barrels completing malolactic fermentation. Prepared for bottling in December 2017
