Aromas of fresh citrus & white peaches, with subdued nutty oak characters. The palate is silky smooth with lemon & cream on the middle palate softening out the fragrant French oak. The acidity is refreshing with an elegant finish.

2016 was an unusually dry growing season, but daily temperatures were fairly mild. These conditions resulted in the earliest harvest we have ever had, but the intensely perfumed and balanced grapes have made some lovely and very approachable, balanced wines.
Harvested on 26th February and whole bunch pressed to retain delicacy and freshness, then settled in tank to clarify. The juice was transferred to French oak barriques (20% of which were new) for ferment and maturation, with around 25% of the barrels completing malolactic fermentation. Prepared for bottling in January 2017.
