Rain events did create moderate disease pressure during the growing season but were often followed by prolonged periods of mild & dry weather so there was little disease occurrence. Temperatures were generally higher than moderate with higher-than-average low temperatures but no hot weather & certainly no heat waves. We meandered through harvest at a gentle pace.
It was whole bunch pressed and allowed to settle overnight, then fermented cool in stainless steel tank. Once dry, it was simply prepared for bottling in late June, so the pure fruit drive of the wine was preserved with minimal artefact or intervention.
