The secret to pinot gris is plenty of ‘cool’ sunshine.
Pale straw in colour, the aromas of pure fruit – poached pear and honeysuckle, are preserved with minimal winemaking intervention.
The medium bodied palate with spicy hints, blends into a clean dry finish.

A perfect late Spring and early Summer resulted in the best flowering and fruit set we have seen for many years. It was followed by a dry and mild ripening period. The berries show intense perfume and great flavour which has produced exceptionally balanced wines.
It was whole bunch pressed and allowed to settle overnight, then fermented cool in stainless steel tank. Once dry, it was simply prepared for bottling in late June, so the pure fruit drive of the wine was preserved with minimal artefact or intervention.
