2017 was marked by a wet and cold flowering period resulting in tiny crops. The harvest itself was relatively late compared to preceding vintages, so picking was during the very mild and sunny autumn. The berries show intense perfume and great flavour which has produced exceptional balanced wines.
The warmth & sunshine of this exclusive site produces pinot noir of exceptional quality. Hand harvested on 27th March. The fruit was destemmed, and commenced fermentation naturally after four days’ cool maceration. A further two weeks was spent on skins prior to pressing to barrel for malolactic fermentation and maturation. The wine was racked once in Spring and bottled on 28th February 2018.
