A perfect late Spring and early Summer resulted in the best flowering and fruit set we have seen for many years. It was followed by a dry and mild ripening period. The berries show intense perfume and great flavour which has produced exceptionally balanced wines.
The warmth & sunshine of this exclusive site produces pinot noir of exceptional quality. Hand harvested on 15th & 16th March. The fruit was destemmed, and commenced fermentation naturally after four days’ cool maceration. A further two weeks was spent on skins prior to pressing to barrel for malolactic fermentation and maturation. The wine was racked once in Spring and bottled on 18th December 2018.
