PALATE

The bold palate has remarkable cherry & liquorice overtones. The mid palate is full of spice and cherries, opening up to a smooth and earthy finish.

VINTAGE

After a mild and relatively dry winter, resulted in flowering with mostly good set. The ripening period during summer was relatively warm, which saw harvest commence up to 7 days earlier than long term averages. Yields were high with good acidity retention and excellent, balanced flavours.

WINEMAKING

The warmth & sunshine of this exclusive site produces pinot noir of exceptional quality. Hand harvested on 5th March. The fruit was destemmed and commenced fermentation naturally after four days’ cool maceration. A further two weeks was spent on skins prior to pressing to barrel for malolactic fermentation and maturation. Racked once in Spring and bottled in December 2019
