PALATE
Balanced stone fruit with nuts, fresh citrus & creamed honey. Matured in French oak for 11 months, adding texture and complexity.
VINTAGE
A perfect late Spring and early Summer resulted in the best flowering and fruit set we have seen for many years. It was followed by a dry and mild ripening period. The berries show intense perfume and great flavour which has produced exceptionally balanced wines.
WINEMAKING
The fruit was perfectly ripe, following careful handpicking, the grapes were delivered to the winery, destemmed, and whole bunch pressed. Racked to barrel for a wild yeast fermentation in French oak with regular lees stirring. Partial malolactic fermentation was completed in spring. The wine had 11 months in French oak barriques.
