PALATE
Poached pear and almond predominate, folding into a delicate palate. A beautifully balanced wine with maximum fruit weight, its freshness remains all the way to the dry finish.
VINTAGE
Budburst was early this year which resulted in flowering with good fruit set. The warm ripening period saw harvest commence a week sooner than normal. Yields were reported as high – average with fine acidity retention and excellent balanced flavours.
WINEMAKING
Whole bunch pressed directly to old French oak barrels for fermentation and matured on lees in barrel with occasional stirring for greater textural complexity. It was racked, stabilised and prepared for bottling in late June.
