Despite challenging weather conditions and the possibility of smoke taint, which we were fortunate to avoid. Settled weather throughout March allowed vintage to deliver consistently high quality, low tonnage fruit.
The Riesling was de-stemmed, crushed, drained pressed and settled. The free run juice was then cool fermented in stainless steel tank. This slow, cool ferment preserved the absolute fruit purity evident in the grapes, and after blending and filtering, the wine was bottled in late July to retain the freshness and aromatics of the fruit.
