Elgee Park Viognier
The Elgee Park viognier is from one of the oldest plantings in Australia. The grapes are picked once the apricot & orange blossom aromas are evident. Typical apricot & spice characters blend into creaminess on the textured palate. With a long dry finish, it is perfect for immediate drinking.

2017 was marked by wet and cold flowering period resulting in tiny crops. The harvest itself was relatively late compared to preceding vintages, so picking was during the very mild and
sunny Autumn. The berries show intense perfume and great flavour which has produced exceptional balanced wines.
The small crop was whole-bunch pressed, settled overnight. Half the juice was fermented in stainless steel to maximise this pristine fruitiness, whilst half was fermented in old barrels with several months of lees stirring to add an element of creaminess and textural complexity to the wine.
