With only one barrel made & each bottle individually numbered this wine is a show stopper. Aromas of white peach, oyster shell & rich elements. The palate shows a wonderful tension of restrained intensity & focus. White-peach, lemon balm, roasted nut notes & a saline minerality are all present on the palate.
The Paringa’ Single Vineyard Chardonnay is the ultimate expression of the unique home vineyard in Red Hill South. It comes from a block of nine rows, which are now 30 years old. Powerful & dense with struck match and grapefruit characters. Mineral & linear with lots of barrel ferment characters too.
Fresh lemon and lime dominate the fruits, however florals equally present with orange blossom and jasmine. The palate supports the nose – elegance, restraint, fresh and pure. It is precise and detailed with a fine gravelly seam driving the core long and deep.
