PALATE
The palate is tight and delicate whilst also having great length. Cherries dominate the fruits while the tannins have a chewiness, & great balance.
VINTAGE
Despite challenging weather conditions and the possibility of smoke taint, which we were fortunate to avoid. Settled weather throughout March allowed vintage to deliver consistently high quality, low tonnage fruit.
WINEMAKING
Hand picked. Wild yeast fermentation. 10% whole bunch. Use of concrete fermenters. The wines spent 11 months in tightly grained, low toast French Oak of which 20% was new.
