The Cri de Coeur (Cry of the Heart) label was established in 2012. It is made in tiny quantities and perfectly showcases the pinnacle of Viticultural and Winemaking efforts spanning over 40 years and 2 generations. Dried fruits with a lingering nutty, sherry like aroma attributed to the wine’s extended ageing under flor. This wine will cellar for many years to come, but ready now!
Called Noble due to the infection of the berries by the Botrytis mould which concentrates sugars and gives the wine its characteristic luscious flavour. Also called the ‘Nectar of the Gods.’ This wine has a light, bright, golden-yellow colour, awesome aromas of citrus peel, dried apricots and honey, with a little dollop of Christmas pudding, making the bouquet intoxicating. The palate is gorgeously sweet, very creamy, rich, flavoursome and beautifully balanced with just the right amount of acidity on the finish so that it doesn’t cloy. Boy, what a finish! It lingers for ages making the palate beg for more of this superb nectar.

A layered and lifted nose, displaying upfront citrus notes, such Myer lemon and lemon cheesecake whilst behind, sweeter notes of apricot, crème brulee and burnt toffee support it. The palate is driving whilst providing opulence, warmth and generosity; showing honeycomb and orange rind with hints of ginger.
