A minimal intervention, skin contact wine made from Pinot Gris. The fruit was sourced from a cool west facing vineyard in Red Hill. Cool soaked on skins & stems for 10 days before being pressed, settled then racked into old French oak barrels for wild yeast fermentation. Soaking on skins delivered a gorgeous peachy blush! Unfined & unfiltered.

Exotic aromatics of citrus rind, cardamom, ginger spice & a smidge of peat are all found on the textural palate of this complex orange wine.
Some challenging weather conditions around flowering reduced the fruit set & resulting yields. Although temperatures across the ripening period were slightly higher than average the day time temperatures were cooler. This allowed for an extended ripening period & together with low yields gives the wine great minerality drive & finesse while maintaining the acidity.
