Shows citrus fruits of lemon & lime with honeysuckle blossom, folding into a clean dry finish.
Some challenging weather conditions around flowering reduced the fruit set & resulting yields. Although temperatures across the ripening period were slightly higher than average the day time temperatures were cooler. This allowed for an extended ripening period and together with low yields gives the wine great minerality drive & finesse while maintaining the acidity.
The Riesling was hand-picked, whole bunch pressed very gently, before settling in tank to clarify the juice. The clear juice was then cool fermented to dryness in stainless steel tank. This slow, cool ferment preserved the absolute fruit purity evident in the grapes, & after blending & filtering, the wine was bottled in late July 2023, to retain the freshness & aromatics of the fruit.
