PALATE

The ripe palate of juicy plums and white pepper is rounded out with fine velvety tannins. This cool climate shiraz is well balanced
with fresh acidity and excellent fruit weight leading to a long and luscious finish.

VINTAGE

Some challenging weather conditions around flowering reduced the fruit set and resulting yields. Although temperatures across the ripening period were slightly higher than average the day time temperatures were cooler. This allowed for an extended ripening period and together with low yields gives the wine great minerality drive and finesse while maintaining the acidity.

WINEMAKING

Destemmed to the fermenter, where after a few days macerating the fermentation commenced. Once dry, the wine spent a further
two weeks on skins to maximise the fine tannin extraction. It was pressed to French oak barrels, 25% of which were new, where it completed malolactic fermentation. Racked once in the late winter, returned to barrel for maturation, before preparation for
bottling in February 2025.
