Join us for an immersive dinner journeying through the wines of Sicily and the Amalfi Coast. Hosted by Marco and Michelle Singarella—founders of Vino Bambino, respected importers, distributors and retailers of Italian wine.
Over many years, Marco and Michelle have travelled extensively throughout Sicily and southern Italy, seeking out exceptional artisan producers and sharing their stories.
Together, we’ll ‘travel’ to the sun-drenched Mediterranean island of Sicily, where centuries of cultural influence have shaped its architecture, cuisine and—of course—its wines. We’ll explore a diverse range of grape varieties including Grillo, Insolia, Frappato, and Nero d’Avola from the south-east Sicily, before journeying up the slopes of Mount Etna, Europe’s largest and most active volcano, to discover how soil type and altitude dramatically influence the wines.
Heading north to the mainland, the evening continues with the celebrated wines of Campania, featuring Fiano di Avellino DOCG and Aglianico from the volcanic region surrounding Mount Vesuvius and Taurasi DOCG.
As always, our chefs have thoughtfully crafted a menu to complement each wine, creating a seamless and memorable dining experience. This promises to be a relaxed, generous and flavour-packed evening—one not to be missed.
