A very limited edition 2024 Elgee Park Viognier.
The Elgee Park viognier is from one of the oldest plantings in Australia. The grapes are picked once the apricot & orange blossom aromas are evident. Typical apricot & spice characters blend into creaminess on the textured palate. With a long dry finish, it is perfect for immediate drinking or will develop with some age.

This perfectly ripened viognier shows fresh aromas of honey, almond, white blossom and hints of apricot
Geraldine McFaul at Willow Creek Vineyard
The palate displays white and yellow stone fruits combine with honey and almond characters. A textured and unctuous wine with beautiful lees elements, the finish is long and complex.
Some challenging weather conditions around flowering reduced the fruit set and resulting yields. Although temperatures across the ripening period were slightly higher than average the day time temperatures were cooler. This allowed for an extended ripening period and together with low yields gives the wine great minerality drive and finesse while maintaining the acidity.
Because the crop was so tiny the handpicked fruit was pressed straight to two barrels for natural fermentation, with well-seasoned barrels used to complement the power and texture of the wine. Fermented to dryness and stirred on lees for two months, then racked and prepared for bottling in winter to retain the fruit freshness whilst capturing the complexity of flavour and texture from the time on lees.
